The Weather Sure Is Nice Out

Yes, this course has come to an end at last. Weird at last. And I sit here counting my blessings, counting them one by one, as they come in through the window, hissing and slithering towards my feet. I am grateful for all the opportunities that I have had and all the people I have had the chance to help. We have all grown so much as a class and I believe we have successully created a safe environment and although quiet as we are, a lot of good ideas come from when we all work together.

I learned so many new things this year than I did last, and thats probably because my idea of leadership will forever be changing along with my life experiences and the people who come into my life. Everytime I do something in this class, be it planting trees or delivering food to a sponser family I learn about new capabilities inside myself and thats because of the people around me.

I have a new found respect for leaders in and around the community and I realize their importance in shaping us. Because yeah, we have textbooks that tell us about great leaders and conquerers that masses of people know about, but we all tend to forget that there are other people on this day in history, whos names we do not know and their actions never recorded. Those people are also leaders. The people that do not do it for the credit or the fame, but for the feeling that it gives them in their heart, because it's sometimes good to follow your heart. Its also very easy to track because it will crawl slowly and leave a noticable trail.

Ending the semester means the need to stamp a double digit grade on a piece of yellow paper that doesnt fold very nicely. I think I deserve a G in terms of work habit and a (98%) for the official document because this year of leadership was opened my eyes even more so from last and with new resources this will definently not be the last the community will see of me.

So yes, that is the end of the class, goodbye everyone. Weird at last... I don't actually know what that means it's only really there so I can segway into the idea that we as humans are so shipwrecked on the idea that everything has to be explained that we forget to have fun. So have fun being leaders. And when the going gets tough I like to remember what a friendly podcast host once said: "When life seems dangerous and unmanagable just remember that it is, and that you can't survive forever."
